Over 700 food lovers and friends of education took part in SEEDS’ fifth annual Mamma Mia Cook-off held on November 14. Thirty cooking teams donated their time, talent and resources to make this year’s event - hosted by title sponsor Dr. Glenn Glass - our most successful fundraiser to date.
The highly coveted Mamma Mia Award for presentation and showmanship went to the Daphne Middle School faculty team (Vinci, Vidi, Vici Vino) with second place honors going to the Daphne East Elementary faculty (the Olive Oyls) and third place to Compound Care Pharmacy (Star-Crossed Lovers).
Hats off to co-chairs Kelly Hughes and Lori Menefee and to members of the 2009 Planning Committee for a job well done: Gretchen Agostinelli, Michelle Ahern, Carolyn Burmeister, Helen Callaway, Denise D’Oliveira, Susan Fant, Jan Finney, Deborah York Geiger, Leslie Guillian, Ashley Hammond, Elizabeth Lemieux, Marilee Lowe, Katherine Madden-Pearl, Ginger Miller, Dayna Oldham, Becky Parke, Rachel Rowell, Ruth Seawell, Kathy Smith and Winston Street
