Olde Towne Daphne will once again come alive with the sights, sounds and aromas of our community's Italian heritage when SEEDS hosts the 5th Annual Mamma Mia Cook-off on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The popular fall fundraiser will take place on the grounds of Daphne's beautiful City Hall from 7-10 p.m. and will feature dozens of enthusiastic cooking teams from throughout the region. Twenty-six different groups representing businesses, schools, churches and civic organizations competed for top honors in 2008, attracting a record crowd of 700+ and wowing a panel of international judges.

The Jubilee Orchestra under the direction of Randy Davis will return this year to delight Mamma Mia guests along with the college football game-of-the-week on our large screen TV.

Fine wine, authentic Italian desserts and a strolling auction will round out the evening with proceeds benefiting SEEDS' Classroom Enrichment Grant program that has provided more than $83,000 to the five Daphne public schools and Christ the King Catholic School since 2005.

Tickets are $25 in advance / $30 at the gate and will be available after August 15 at Daphne school offices, Daphne City Hall and in many Olde Towne businesses.
